Without law and order our society ends

We have law and order problems in Delaware that must to be addressed. It’s time to get serious.
  • People are at risk when they leave their homes.
  • In some neighborhoods, people are at risk even in their homes.
  • Human trafficking continues to make victims of young girls.
  • People are dying of drug overdoses.
  • Extremists who want to destroy our way of life adds to the stress our law officers and their family members face.
  • There is pressure to reduce budgets for law enforcement, at a time when public safety is increasingly at risk.
Showing our support for law enforcement is extremely important at all times, but especially during this time of unrest. We cannot allow a lack of respect for our officers to continue.

I have been to a number of peaceful demonstrations and a march for justice in the past few months. This is a Constitutional right that is important to the survival of our nation and its laws.

The first amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees “…the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

When protests become violent, when rioters begin looting, there must be swift action to arrest those who are breaking the law, the same as you would for any other criminal acts.

I will not allow undue force to be used, but I will not allow the lawless to harm others and damage and loot businesses.
